General Requirements
(Professor)
I. Several years of teaching and professional experience in area of specialty in a University or an Institution of University standing or a comparable professional Institution.
ii. Ability to initiate and develop research project.
iii. Some administrative experience.
iv. Substantial scholarly publications in local and international journals.
v. Experience in initiating and developing academic group projects.
vi. Experience of working in interdisciplinary groups is desirable.

SENIOR LECTURER (Anatomy)
• Candidate must have a good honours degree in the specialty and a PhD in Anatomy.
ii. At least 5 years of teaching or professional experience in a university, an institution of university standing or comparable professional institution.
Iii. Experience in inter-disciplinary group activities.
iv. Recognized publications

LECTURERS I & II
• A good honours degree preferably in the Specialty or cognate discipline. Candidate must have a fellowship qualification in area of specialization.
• At least 3 years teaching or cognate experience in a University, an institution of university standing or a comparable professional institution.
• Recognized publications will be an advantage.
Qualifications
The following qualifications are specially required for positions in:

1. (a) Radiotherapy: (PROFESSOR)
• Candidates must have professional qualification in Radiotherapy from any of the following bodies:
West African College of Surgeons or the National Postgraduate Medical College or equivalent fellowship qualification.
• Candidates must be of Associate Professor Level.

(b & c) Radiography (LECTURERS I & II)
• Candidates must possess a Diploma of the Society of Radiographers or B.Sc in Radiography or any other equivalent qualification from a recognized institution Possession of current practicing license of Radiographers Board of Nigeria is mandatory.
• M.Sc degree from a reputable university is essential. Computer literacy is an added advantage.

Candidates for Lecturer I position must in addition possess a PhD degree from a reputable university and evidence of scholarly publications.

2. General Surgery
(LECTURER I)
Candidates must have a fellowship qualification from any of the following bodies:
West African College of Surgeons or National Postgraduate Medical College or equivalent fellowship qualification

3. Paediatrics
(LECTURER I)
• Candidates must have fellowship qualification with specialization in Nephrology, Community and Social Paediatrics, Emergency Paediatrics and Neonatology/Perinatology.

4. Department of Obstetrics & Gynaecology
LECTURER II
• Candidates must have a fellowship qualification from the following bodies:
West African College of Surgeons, National Postgraduate Medical College or equivalent fellowship qualification.

5. Clinical Pathology
(LECTURER I)
• Candidates must have a fellowship qualification from any of the following bodies:
West African College of Surgeons or National Postgraduate Medical College or equivalent bodies in Clinical Pathology.

6. STATISTICIAN (Dept. of Community Health & Primary Care)
• Candidates must have Ph.D in Medical Statistics or fellowship in Public Health from West African College of Physicians/National Postgraduate Medical collage with a M.Sc degree in Medical Statistics.

7. CLINICAL PSYCHOLOGIST (Lecturer II)
• A higher degree in Clinical Psychology with Registration for a PhD Programme.
• Recognized publication would be an advantage.

8. PHARMACOLOGY (Professor)
• A good first degree with M.Sc/M.Phil/Ph.D in Pharmacology. Candidate must have a satisfactory knowledge of Pharmacokinetics
Pharmacoepidemiology, Pharmacotherapeutics and Clinical Pharmacology.

9 (a) SENIOR LECTURER (Anatomy)
• Candidates must possess a PhD in Anatomy.

(b). TUTOR PROSECTOR (Anatomy)
• Candidates must have M.Sc. Anatomy degree from any other recognized university and must have interest/experience in prosecting the parts of human body with 2 years experience in demonstrating to Medical/Dental/Para Medical students.

10. (a). PHYSIOLOGY (Lecturer II)
• A higher degree with registration for a PhD programme.
• Recognized publications would be an advantage.

(b). ASSISTANT LECTURER
• A good honours degree with registration for a PhD programme.

11. ORAL PATHOLOGY & BIOLOGY (LECTURER I)
• Candidates must have a fellowship qualification from any of the following bodies:
West African College of Surgeons or National Postgraduate Medical College or equivalent bodies.

DUTIES
Duties would include Teaching, Research and supervision of junior colleagues, where applicable.

NON-TEACHING POSITIONS:
(I) Counseling Psychologist (Staff Med. Service)
(Ii) Radiographer (Preventive Dentistry)
(Iii) Technologist I (Paediatrics)
(IV) Laboratory Scientist (Community Health)

QUALIFICATION:
(i) COUNSELING PSYCHOLOGIST (Staff Med. Service)
• A good honours degree in Psychology with not less than 4 year post qualification experience in a university or institution of comparable standing.
• Possession of a Masters degree in Counseling psychology would be an advantage.

(ii) Department Of Preventive Dentistry
RADIOGRAPHER
• Candidate must posses Diploma of the College of Radiographers (London) or B.Sc. in Radiography from a recognized university and should have completed the NYSC program or provide evidence of exemption.
• Candidate must also be a registered member of the Radiographers Registration Board of Nigeria (R.R.B.N.) and should have 2 years relevant post qualification experience.

(Iii) TECHNOLOGIST I (Paediatrics)
• Candidate must possess the professional Qualification of BMLS, AIMLT & FIMLT in Medical Laboratory Sciences, evidence of discharge/Exemption from N.Y.S C and 2 years post qualification experience in a University/Teaching Hospital or Institution of comparable standing.
• Candidate must be registered with the Medical Laboratory Science Council of Nigeria.

(Iv) LABORATORY SCIENTIST (Community Health)
